William James Byrd

William James Byrd, 28, of Decatur passed away February 14, 2018 in Decatur. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 20 at Jones Family Funeral Home in Decatur, with burial at Oaklawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Monday, February 19 at the funeral home.

James was born March 8, 1989, in Decatur to William Lloyd and Mary Elizabeth (Harlow) Byrd. He was a 2008 graduate of Decatur High School. James was a food sales associate at Walmart in Decatur. He loved to play video games and spend time with his family.

James is survived by his parents; brothers, Cody Byrd and wife Laura of Euless,Texas, and Bobby Byrd and wife Charlsi of Decatur, Texas; sister, Dakota Byrd of Decatur, Texas; grandmother, Eva Gentry of Decatur, Texas; nephew, Blake Byrd of Decatur, Texas ;and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
