Walter Hollis

Walter C. Hollis, 75, of Chico, passed away on June 23, 2016 in Decatur. Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Grace Baptist Church in Decatur. The family will receive visitors on Monday, from 6-8 PM, in the chapel at Chancellor and Jones Family Funeral Home. Walter was born to William R.C. (Neal) Hollis and Mary Thelma Simpson Hollis on December 17, 1940 in Decatur, Texas. He was a night supervisor for Hanson Aggregates for 32 years. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and working with his computer. He leaves behind his wife of 14 years, Sandy Hollis; son, Rodney Hollis of Roanoke; stepson, Eddie Ward and wife Lisa of Chico; stepdaughters, Dianna Tiller and husband Raymond of Chico, Melissa (Missy) Patterson and husband Chad of Chico; grandchildren, Drew, Tamara, Dakota, Hunter, Allie, Tanner, Derik, Lauren, and Paisley; and great grandchildren, Brayden, Cloee, Chase, and Landon. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joyce B. Hollis; stepson, Robbie Lee Green; brother, James C. Hollis and sister Daisy Marsh.
