Truman Scott

Truman Scott Jr., 62, of Alvord, passed away January 5, 2016 at home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 12 at 10:00, in the chapel of Chancellor and Jones Family Funeral Home with Reverend Bo Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Dallas at Laurel Land at 2:00. Visitation will be at Chancellor and Jones Family Funeral Home from 6-8 on Monday, January 11. Mr. Scott was born in Gilmer, Texas on March 21, 1953 to Truman Scott Sr. and Ell Rayson Scott. He was an oilfield operator. Mr. Scott was also an avid golfer. Survivors include Sharron Scott, his wife of 34 years from Alvord, Texas; daughter Jasmine R. Scott; sisters Phyllis Buford and husband Sharnia, Carolyn Stephens, and Delfine Scott.
