A memorial service for Thuron Ray Thompson Jr., 59, of Bridgeport, Texas, will be 11am, December 10, 2022, at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport, officiated by Pastor Ronnie Lawson. Thuron was called to his eternal resting place on November 2, 2022.
Thuron was born November 22, 1962, in Decatur, Texas, to Thuron and Lillian (Grooms) Thompson. He graduated from Bridgeport High School in1981. While in high school, he worked at Diamond supermarket. Later, after graduation, Thuron went to work at the rock quarry, Vulcan Materials, for several years. In the late 80’s, he moved to the Fort Worth area, then started working at a trucking/shipping company. In addition, Thuron worked at several convenience stores in the Hurst, Euless, and Bedford areas. In his later years, he started in the newspaper business, delivering papers in the Weatherford and Wise County areas. Thuron had a great sense of humor and loved telling jokes to his friends and family. He would have you laughing so hard your sides would start hurting. Thuron was known to be an enthusiastic Dallas Cowboys fan and supported them no matter their state of play. He will be greatly missed by everyone that knew and loved him.
He leaves behind his brother Melvin Thompson and wife, Pam, of Euless, Texas; nephew Chris Lightfoot and wife, Monste; great-nephews Christopher and Tyler Lightfoot; several more family members; and a host of friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters Marylee and Cara Thompson; grandparents C.O. and Ada Thompson, and John and Raney Grooms
