Thomas Lewis

Thomas Howard Lewis, 80, of Bridgeport, Texas passed away Saturday, February 16, 2013 at home. Graveside services are at 2:00 PM Monday, February 18, 2013 at East Bridgeport Cemetery. Brother Ernie Patterson will officiate. Pallbearers are Michael Lewis, Alicia Griffin, Colton McCormick, Keith Pittman, and Barry Whitehead. Honorary pallbearer is Justin Pope. Thomas was born May 12, 1932, in Burleson County, Texas to Emma Lou (Lawerance) and Ruben Lewis. He was a truck driver for the City of Decatur for twenty years and was a member of the Voice of Triumph Assembly of God Church. He is survived by his wife Lela Jenkins Lewis; son Michael Lewis of Wichita Falls, Texas; sister Margaret Vuicich of Seagraves, Texas; sister-in-law Atza Manuel of Bridgeport; daughter-in-law Alicia Griffin of Wichita Falls; nieces Pat Swindle of Paradise, Texas and Anita Golaz of San Antonio, Texas; and nephews Larry and Roger Lewis of Paradise. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Ray, Leonard, Milroy, and Homer Lewis; and sisters Lillian Wilson and Ethel Neagle.
