Tamra "Tammy" Womack

Visitation for Tamra “Tammy” Womack, 64, of Bridgeport, Texas, will be held 4-6 p.m. Sunday, April 21, 2024, at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 22, 2024, at Paradise Cemetery. Dr. Shawn Brewer will officiate.

Pallbearers will include Chuck Reneau, Kirby Elenburg, Blake Bowen, Marty Idell, Scott Erwin, and Michael Evans.

Tammy was born November 18, 1959, in Lynwood, California, to James Clyde and Sue (Allen) Wood. Their family later moved to Texas, where she graduated from LD Bell High School. She was introduced to Ron Womack in the fall of 1979, and they were married April 4, 1980. Tammy worked in both the automotive and banking industries until she retired in 2006. She enjoyed crafting, watching movies, spending time with her sisters, and beach trips. Tammy passed away on April 16, 2024, in Decatur, Texas after battling cancer for several years.

 Tammy is survived by husband Ron Womack of Bridgeport; son Jason Womack and wife, Mandi of North Richland Hills; daughter Meagan Reneau and husband, Chuck of Chico; mother-in-law Doris Womack of Bridgeport; brothers David and Jimmy Wood; Sisters Terri Idell and Jamie Madill; grandchildren Mason and Jaxon Womack and Natalie and Rachel Reneau; and many nieces and nephews. Tammy was preceded in death by her parents James Clyde and Sue Wood; nephew Jeremy Evans; father-in-law Orman Womack; and sister-in-law Diane Womack.
