Steve Misner

Funeral services for Steve Misner, 74, of Paradise, Texas, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Chico Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at the funeral home. Chaplain Jimmy Howard will be officiating.

Pallbearers will include Micah Davis, Levi Hall, Brayden Odom, Danny Gillespie, Steve Decker, and Cyle Dickenson.

Steve Clayton Misner was born on September 18, 1951, in Baytown, Texas, to John and Mildred (Holveck) Misner. He passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026, in Paradise, Texas, leaving behind a life remembered for devotion to family, service, and community.

Steve proudly served his country in the Army, an experience that reflected his sense of duty and commitment. On July 31, 1970, he married Cindi Misner in Fort Worth, and together they built a loving marriage that lasted 56 years before his passing.

After a dedicated career, Steve retired from AT&T. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, farming, and, most of all, spending treasured moments with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was also active in his community, serving on the New Fairview City Council and as mayor of New Fairview.

Steve is preceded in death by his father, John Dale Misner, Sr.; his mother, Mildred Wear of Rhome; his in-laws, Dean Scott and Geneva Scott of Rhome; many aunts and uncles; and his niece, Alesha Smith of Fort Worth.

Steve’s memory will be cherished by his wife, Cindi Misner; his son, Troy Misner; his daughter, Stevie Misner Davis and her husband, Micah; his brother, John Misner, Jr.; his sisters, Cheryl Hoover, Donna Misner, and Jean Misner-Smith; his grandchildren, Henlie and Hudson Davis, Felicia Hall and her husband, Levi, and Tiffany Misner; four great-grandchildren; and many friends.
