Shirley “Mommy-O” Joann (Gregory)Taylor, 68, of Decatur, passed away May 21, 2016 at her home. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of Chancellor and Jones Family Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 24 at 2:00 PM, with the Reverend Bill Hughes officiating. Visitation will be Monday, May 23, 2016 from 6-8 PM in the Chapel of Chancellor and Jones Family Funeral Home in Decatur. Shirley was born November 29, 1947 in Spur, Texas to Claud E. and Dorothy Lillian Gregory Sr. She married James Taylor, June 19, 1971 in Muleshoe, Texas, and was a homemaker. Shirley is survived by her husband, James; mother, Dorothy Hodges of Olton, Texas; brother, Greg Gregory of Lazbuddie, Texas; daughters, Dedra Stockton of Decatur, Crystal Lambert of Decatur, Tina Hatfield of Muldrow, Oklahoma; and son, James Paul Taylor of Decatur. Shirley was preceded in death by her father, Claud E. Gregory Sr., and her step-father, Jack Hodges.
