Funeral services for Shavon Louise (Bell) Houk, 44, of Springtown, Texas, will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Hudson and Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport, Texas. Pastor Charles Pugh will officiate as family and friends gather to honor Shavon’s life and remember the love, creativity, and joy she shared with those around her.
Shavon Louise (Bell) Houk was born on December 3, 1981, in Houston, Texas, to Zollie Bell and Kathie (Murphy) Dill. She passed away on August 26, 2026, in Plano, Texas, leaving behind a life filled with cherished memories and a legacy of love that will remain with all who knew her.
Shavon had a creative spirit and a heart for bringing beauty into the world around her. As a cake decorator, she used her patience, imagination, and attention to detail to help make special occasions even more memorable. Whether decorating cakes or the most amazing and beautiful Christmas trees, building with Legos, coloring, gardening, going to the movies, or getting lost in a good book, Shavon found joy in the simple moments that made life meaningful.
Most of all, Shavon treasured her family. Time spent with the people she loved was precious to her, and the memories they shared will continue to bring comfort and warmth in the days ahead.
Shavon will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Christopher Plaunty; her son, Zane Alexander Houk; her beloved cats, Shark, Willie, Pumpkin, Slick, Drifter, and Ralph; and her dog, Beauty. She also leaves behind her mother and father Kathie and Duane Dill; father, Zollie Bell, her brother, Vincent Bell; her nephews, Eli Bell and Levi Bell; and her nieces, Liberty and Lexington Bell. Each of them carries with them the love, laughter, and memories Shavon gave so freely.
The family welcomes flowers and kindly invites donations to the GoFundMe account below as another meaningful way to honor Shavon’s memory and support those she loved so dearly.
