A celebration of life for Scott Alan Knowles, 65, of Boyd, Texas, will be held at 2 pm Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Scott passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023, at home with his family by his side.
Scott was born on June 11, 1958, in Mascoutah, Illinois, to Alan and Thelma (Costa) Knowles. Scott was well known for being one hell of a framer, and he knew it! If he taught you how to frame, consider yourself fortunate to have a set of skills for life. You can also deem yourself a very patient person because he was no easy teacher. Scott was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. When he wasn't busy working, he could often be found at home accompanied by his loyal dog. There he delighted in indulging himself with an entire bag of candy or popsicles while watching television. He also had a passion for adventure which led him to spend many hours outside riding his KTM dirt bike. But above all else, Scott valued the time spent with his family. He loved having cookouts and grilling.
Those left to cherish Scott’s memory are his son Scott Knowles and fiancé Meghann Smith; daughters Alyssa Knowles and husband Keith, Mariah Knowles, and Tiffany Raymond and husband Pete; brother Mike Knowles; sisters Kim Knowles and Pat Fischer; grandchildren Emerald Knowles, Lucas Knowles, Brently Aldridge, Brayson Aldridge, Jacob Washington, Jozie Washington, Colt Washington, Lilly Raymond, and Ethan Raymond; and great-granddaughter Lyric Howard.
Scott is preceded in death by his parents Alan and Thelma Knowles; brother Kent Knowles; son John Alan Knowles; grandparents Robert and Clara Knowles, and son-in-law Jacob Skyler Washington.
