Memorial services for Sammy Drew Womack, 77, of Bridgeport, Texas, will be held at 1 pm Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

Sammy Drew Womack passed away on July 9, in his hometown of Bridgeport, Texas. He was born on July 25, 1945, in Bridgeport, to Thurman and Dorothy (Thornton) Womack. He married Kelly Cox, in Love County, and was happily married for 30 years, until his passing. Sammy possessed the heart of a tough cowboy and was a man of few words. His quiet nature was part of his charm, and those that knew him admired him.

Sammy was a simple man who took joy in the little things. He had a passion for hunting and fishing when not working on the farm baling hay. He always made time for his family and was a great dad and grandpa. Whether it was teaching them about farming or instilling values of hard work and dedication, Sammy always had their best interests at heart. He leaves behind cherished memories that will forever warm the hearts of his loved ones.

Sam is survived by his wife Kelly Womack; son Sean Womack; daughter Taylor Laroque and husband Justin; grandchildren Samantha Reed and husband Matt, Skylar Womack, Mason Rangel, and Brazos, Madi, and Bristol Laroque; and great-grandchildren Owen Green, and Lucas and Porter Reed.
