Royce Prater

Royce A. Prater, 73, of Bridgeport, Texas passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015 in Decatur. A memorial service will be held Friday, March 27 at 3:00 pm at Faith Baptist Church at 2882 Hwy 380 in Decatur, officiated by Rev. Jerry Miller. Royce was born August 21, 1941, in Selden, Texas to Annie Pearl (Doty) and Robert Lee Prater. He was a retired supervisor for Lennox Manufacturing who enjoyed leather craft, gardening, hunting and woodworking. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Decatur. He is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Barbara A. (Sims); sons Scott Prater and wife Carma of Fort Worth and Lawrence Prater and wife Trish of Weatherford; daughter Beverly Harp of Bridgeport; sisters Pansy Wiese of Fort Worth, Bobbie Morin of Granbury, and Sue Burnell of Fort Worth; seven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
