Roy Harris

Roy "PopaTop" Harris, 59, of Bridgeport, Texas passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2013 in Dallas, Texas. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at West Bridgeport Cemetery. Roy was born May 5, 1954, in Orange County, California to Violet (Wingate) and Jack Harris. He lived in Wise County for most of his adult life. He served his country in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War. He is survived by his son Roy Hardin of Boyd, Texas; sisters Carol Diffenderfer and husband John of Paradise, Texas, Claudette Williams and husband Lee of Cresson, Texas, Violet Shepard of Bridgeport, and Alice Bond of Waco; brothers Elvin Fox of Paradise, Jack Harris and wife Afton of Utah, and Richard Fox of Durant, Oklahoma; one grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Ricky Harris, and an infant daughter.
