Robert Ingram, a dedicated educator and proud veteran, passed away on June 4, 2023, in Paradise, Texas. He was born in Amarillo, Texas on September 26, 1941, to Raymond and Lorraine (Summers) Ingram.

Robert accomplished many things in his life, both professionally and personally. As a high school national merit scholar, he attended West Texas A&M University before serving six years in the United States Navy where he achieved the distinction of being ‘first in class’ at Basic Naval Aviation Officers' School. After being discharged from the military, he furthered his education and earned a master's degree in education at North Texas University.

Following his service in the military, Robert worked as a manager for Southwestern Bell in Fort Worth and Mineral Wells. However, his passion for teaching never faded. Eventually, he transitioned into teaching roles within Arlington and Decatur independent school
districts as a math and physics teacher before eventually retiring from Decatur ISD.

Attending both the Paradise Methodist Church and Trinity Lutheran Church of Bridgeport, Robert will always be remembered by those who knew him as an enthusiastic man who loved gardening and sharing tips with others who shared his hobby. When not gardening or teaching, he could be found hunting, fishing, or with his family, whom he adored spending time with.
Robert will be remembered for his commitment to education, his pride in serving his country in the military, and the love he had for his family. He touched the lives of many, both in and out of the classroom, and will
be missed by all who knew him.

Robert leaves behind an entire community of loved ones who cared for him deeply. Among them are his wife, Adelia (DeDe) Ingram of Paradise; brother, James White of Boyd; sister, Charlene Hopson of Jacksboro; and brothers-in-law Herold and Oscar Levy, and Tommy and Curt Wilkins. Robert is also survived by his children, Rob Ingram of Denton, and Becky Thompson and husband Max Jr. of Georgetown, as well as son-in-law Kyle Sinclair of Boyd. Robert's grandchildren Matt, Caitie, and Christy Sinclair, Rachael, Emily, and Max Thompson III, and Nash, Kimber, and Beau Ingram will always treasure the memories they shared with their grandfather.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents; daughter Rhonda Sinclair; and brothers John and Dennis White.
