Funeral services for Ricky Lindsey, 69, of Bridgeport, Texas, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport, followed by burial at Lindale Cemetery in Bowie. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, one hour before the service.
Pallbearers will include Nicholas Hernandez, Nolan Hernandez, Noah Hernandez, Rick Durban, Severo Aranda, Joe Hampton, and Bucky Carpenter.
Ricky Glenn Lindsey was born on July 21, 1956, in Bowie, Texas, to Glenn and Loretta (Harper) Lindsey. He peacefully passed away on May 13, 2026.
Ricky spent his life working as a truck driver and heavy equipment operator. Among friends and colleagues, he was known by his CB handle "agitator," and many affectionately called him Tator. His work was important to him, and he took pride in what he did every day.
Ricky found joy in spending time with his friends and family, playing the lottery, and riding his motorcycle. Those who knew him also remember him as the best grandpa ever, someone who cherished his family deeply.
Ricky Lindsey’s life touched many, and those who knew him will remember his kindness and love. He will be missed dearly.
He is preceded in death by his father, Glenn Lindsey; his mother, Loretta Mattix; his brothers, Johny Lindsey and Randall Lindsey; his sister, Brenda Hicks; and his grandparents, Oscar and Bessie Lindsey, and Paul and Mary Harper.
Those left to cherish Ricky’s memory are his son, Keith Lindsey, and Keith’s mother, Marilynn Andreasen; his daughter, Donna Hernandez, and Donna’s mother, Terri Lindsey; his brothers, Robert Mattix and his wife, Cyndi, and Mike Lindsey and his wife, Shelly; his sister, Kim Mattix Sandford and her husband, Blake; his grandchildren, Nicholas Hernandez and his wife, Lizeth, Noah Hernandez, Nolan Hernandez, and Nicole Hernandez; his great-grandchild, Ezra Hernandez; and many dear friends.
