Richard Puckett

Richard F. Puckett, 81, of Pittsburg, Texas passed away Friday, May 3, 2013 in Denton, Texas. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Monday, May 6, 2013 in the Chapel at Jones Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport, Texas. Burial will follow in Jim Ned Cemetery. Brother Vern Choate will officiate. Pallbearers are Matthew Puckett, Brian Puckett, Kyle Parson, Jerry Saylor, Jr., Robert Chapman, and Keith Jones. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 6:00 PM Sunday, May 5, 2013 at the funeral home. Richard was born March 17, 1932, in Jasper, Alabama. He married Myrtle Marie Maddux on June 2, 1956 in Decatur, Texas. He was a loader operator for Southwest Stone in Chico, Texas for forty years. He was a member of The Shepherd House in Chico. Richard is survived by his sons David Puckett of Alvarado, Dewayne Puckett of Chico, and Douglas Puckett of Pittsburg; daughter Donna Puckett of Chico; one brother; two sisters; nineteen grandchildren; and twenty-eight great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife and sons Darrell and Danny Puckett.
