Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, an hour-and-a-half prior to the service, at the church.

Reverend Renee Elaine (Williams) Vetter was born on June 5, 1951, in Carrollton, Illinois, to Roy and Edna (Kool) Williams, and went to be with our Lord on May 9, 2025, in Alvord, Texas. She lived a remarkable life, full of love and dedication to her family and community.

After a fulfilling career as a respiratory therapist, Renee retired to pursue her true passion: her faith. For over 25 years, she founded and led a prayer ministry that touched countless lives. Her journey took her to Africa in the past year, where she was profoundly moved by the beauty and love of Christ that she encountered there. In addition to her ministry work, Renee authored more than ten books, sharing her insights and experiences with others.

Renee was a devoted member of New Vision Ministries in Alvord, where she found joy in serving and connecting with her church community. She cherished her 55 years of marriage to her husband, Larry. Together, they built a loving home filled with warmth and kindness.

Renee spent her free time (when there was any) golfing, taking care of her husband, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was also known for being a good friend to everyone who needed her, always offering support, encouragement and, above all, prayer.

Reverend Renee Elaine Vetter will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her loving spirit, and the many ways she enriched the lives of those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and service that will continue to inspire others.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Edna Williams, and son, Michael Vetter.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Larry Vetter; son, Troy Vetter and wife Jessica; twin brother, Roy Williams, Jr.; sisters, Alexis and Fauvette; grandchildren, Lilly Beth Vetter, Gracie Vetter, Ezra Vetter, Payton Vetter, Avery Vetter, Ben Vetter and wife Michela, Rachel Porter and husband Jackson, Phoebe Vetter, Dinah Vetter, Samuel Vetter, Abigail Vetter, Jubilee Vetter, and Jedidiah Vetter; brothers-in-law, Richard Vetter and wife Barbara, and Danny Vetter and former wife Joann; former daughter-in-law, Cathleen Vetter; nieces, Tammy, Joaquin and spouse Felicia, Vicky, and Sydney; and a host of friends.
