Funeral services for Reginaldo Contreras Sosa, 51, of Paradise, Texas, will be held at 12 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport, Texas, with burial to follow at Paradise Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at the funeral home. Pastor Luis Guevara will officiate.

Pallbearers will include Reggie Contreras, Jr., Rosendo Contreras, Jose Rivera, Felipe de Jesus Quintero, Esteban Castruita, Robert Jordan, Hector Reyes, and Sergio Reyes; honorary pallbearers David Lara, Martin Talavera, Rueban Lomas, Robert Gonzalez, Ryan Smith, and Cesar Ramos.

Reginaldo Contreras Sosa was born on January 11, 1973, to Reginaldo Contreras Soria and Guadalupe Sosa in CD Acuña Coah, Mexico, and peacefully passed away March 2, 2024, in Arlington, Texas.

Reginaldo will be remembered for his strong work ethic, passion for raising animals, working the land, and the relationships he created throughout his life. As a rancher, Reginaldo’s days were spent tending to the animals and fields with a great sense of responsibility and care. He also found joy in cooking delicious meals and spending time with his beloved family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Reginaldo’s memory are his loving wife of 24 years Sandra Contreras Quintero; sons Reggie Contreras, Jr. and wife Halie and Rosendo Contreras; parents Guadalupe Sosa, Reginaldo Contreras Soria and wife Margarita; brothers Reginaldo Contreras, Eduardo Contreras, Roel Contreras, and Elijio Castruita; sisters Olga Nora Rivera, Odilia Contreras, and Odelia Contreras; grandparents Hipolito Sosa, Petra Velasquez, Rafael Contreras, and Dolores Soria; and grandchildren Magnolia and Rosalyn Contreras.

Reginaldo is preceded in death by Leonardo Castruita and Sergio Contreras.

Los servicios funerarios de Reginaldo Contreras Sosa, de 51 años, de Paradise, Texas, se llevarán a cabo a las 12 p.m. el jueves 7 de marzo de 2024 en la funeraria Hudson & Torres Family en Bridgeport, Texas, y el entierro seguirá en el cementerio Paradise. El velorio se llevará a cabo de 6 a 8 p.m. el miércoles 6 de marzo de 2024 en la funeraria. Oficiará Pastor Luis Guevara.
