Patsy Sue Abbott

Services for Patsy Sue Abbott, 81, of Chico will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Chico, officiated by Carl McCann. Burial will follow in Chico Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 6-8 pm at Jones Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Patsy passed away Friday, February 3 at home. Pallbearers are Josh Abbott, Zack McCain, Nick McCain, Ian McCann, Chris Tull, and Lance Simmons She was born January 5, 1936 in Graham, Texas to James Miller and Myrtle Ann (Carson) Ratcliffe. She married Robert Abbott on May 27, 1956. She was great a volley ball player in her younger years and a huge fan when her daughters played the sport. She loved shopping, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids. Before her retirement, Patsy was a bookkeeper for the City of Chico. She leaves behind her husband Robert Abbott; son Robert Abbott; daughters Susan McCann and husband Carl, and Laura McCain and husband Rick; brother John Ratcliffe; sister Dolly Nunley; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Patsy was preceded in death by her parents.
