Pam Martin

Runaway Bay

No services are planned for Pamela Elise Martin, 69, of Runaway Bay, Texas. Pam passed away at home Tuesday, January 13, 2026 from liver disease just four days before her 70th birthday.

Pam was born January 17, 1956 in Saint Jo, Texas to Ervin Lester and Mary Sue (Maples) Duncan. She was a 1974 graduate of BHS and lived in Wise County most of her life.

Although most of her adult life was spent working in the secretarial field for various companies, it was nursing, her second career, that captivated her heart and best utilized her talents. She found her niche when she became the school nurse for Chico ISD several years ago.

Pam was a very creative woman and loved to paint and design. And wherever she lived, the house quickly became a home, filled with her own decorative touches. She was also very generous and could often be seen helping others find their own decorating style.

She leaves behind her sister Sharla Duncan and wife Jan; children Katy Fox and husband Greg, and Brandon Wright and wife Kristina; grandchildren Lauren, Ripley, Lucas, Frank, and Bella; great-grandchildren Hazel and Brooklyn; nieces Brittany and Brandy; great-nephew Zaidon; numerous other family; and a great number of friends.

Pam was preceded in death by her parents Ervin and Mary Duncan, and biological father Joe Keith.
