Memorial services for Ozie Carter, 71, of Chico, Texas, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Morris Memorial Methodist Church in Chico.
Ozie Neal Carter was born January 3, 1954, in Olton, Texas, to Robert and Elois (Hardin) Carter, and passed away August 18, 2025, in Chico, Texas.
Ozie was a master electrician, known for his skill and dedication to his craft. He found joy in various interests throughout his life, including a deep appreciation for music and old movies.
One of Ozie's greatest joys was spending time with his grandson. These moments were precious to him, and he cherished every opportunity to create memories together. Ozie's legacy will continue to shine through the lives he touched and the love he shared. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Ozie is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Elois Carter of Chico, Texas; brother, Randy L. Carter of Fort Worth, Texas; brother-in-law and long-time friend, Billy “B.T.” Harrison of Alvord, Texas; and mother-in-law, Patricia R. Harrison of Alvord, Texas.
Those left to cherish Ozie’s memory are his wife, Cindy Carter of Bridgeport, Texas; daughter, Connie Garcia and husband David of Chico, Texas; and grandson, Corporal Cooper L. Garcia of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
