Neil Hickey

Neil Preston Hickey, 70, of Runaway Bay, Texas passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at home. Graveside services are at 11:00 AM Friday, September 4, 2015, at Swisher Cemetery in Lake Dallas, Texas. Reverend Phillip A. Weitner will officiate. Visitation is from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Jones Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Neil was born July 28, 1945 in Dallas, Texas to Doris (Richards) and Thomas Preston Hickey. He married Cindy Bragg on July 30, 1977 in Lake Dallas. He loved spending time with family, golfing, fishing, hunting, working in the yard, and anything that kept him outdoors. He is survived by his wife of 38 years; sons Neil Hickey II of Denton, Texas and Michael Hickey and wife Bambi of Tyler, Texas; brothers George, Bobby, and Lee Hickey; sisters Virginia Blackwell, Janie Rhoads, and Rosie Smith; and grandchildren Jake, Nicholas, Andrew, and Olly Belle Hickey. Neil is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Tommy and Richard Hickey; and sister Sally Meeks.
