Mildred Faye Brown

Mildred Faye Brown, 89, of Paradise, Texas passed away Friday, June 5, 2015. Funeral services are at 11:00 AM Monday, June 8, in the Chapel at Jones Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport, Texas. Burial is in Paradise Cemetery. Pastor Barry Hogan will officiate. Pallbearers are Edward Lee Black, Dennis Black, Kurt Black, Carl Black, Roy Glenn Jones, Brett Shannon, and Ray Meadows. Honorary pallbearers are Justin Williams and Nick Martinez. Visitation is from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Mildred was born August 3, 1925, in Paradise to Abbie (Chamber) and Henry Franklin Meadows. She married Albert Brown on August 19, 1958. She was a long time member of First Christian Church in Paradise. Mildred enjoyed raising chickens and cattle; she loved children and watching game shows. She is survived by her sister Ruth Corley of Fort Worth, Texas; special niece Stacy Williams and husband Jimmy of Paradise; special nephew Justin Williams and his daughter Lynnox; numerous other nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three sisters, and six brothers.
