Memorial services for Michele Ray, 79, of Bridgeport, Texas, will be held at a later date.

Michele (Watts) Ray was born September 30, 1945, in Creston, Iowa, to Robert and Jackie (Reddick) Watts, and peacefully passed away surrounded by her family September 22, 2025, in Argyle, Texas, just days shy of her 80th birthday.

On November 22, 1980, she married Fred Herbert Ray III in Abilene, Texas. Together, they shared 38 wonderful years of marriage. She lived a life filled with love and joy, dedicating many of her years to being a homemaker.

Michele was a cherished member of the Twin Oaks Assembly of God Church, where she found community and connection. Her interests included crocheting and traveling, activities that brought her joy and allowed her to express her creativity.

Michele is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Herbert Ray III, son, Brad Watts of Tatum, Texas; father, Robert Watts of Creston, Iowa; mother, Jackie Watts of Tatum, Texas; brother, Robin Watts of Arlington, Texas; and sister, Sharon Watts of Abilene, Texas.

Those left to cherish Michele’s memory are her son, Fred Ray IV and wife Andrea of Argyle, Texas; daughter, Melissa Holston and husband Mark of Sheridan, Arkansas; grandchildren, Makayla Pipkins, Alona Hastings, Sharon Cecille Ray, Fred Ray V, Louis Ray, and Dalton Ray; and three great-grandchildren.
