Michael Shane Roberts

Services are being arranged for Michael Shane Roberts, 49, of Bridgeport, Texas in Forrest City, Arkansas. Jones Family Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements. He passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2019 in Bridgeport.

The family is having a memorial service at 5 pm Friday, May 31, 2019 at Beach View in Bay Landing in Bridgeport. BBQ will be provided and families are encouraged to bring a side dish. Shane was born December 9, 1969 in Wynne, Arkansas to Roy Roberts and BJ (Soper) Matthews. On September 23, 1995, he married his wife Jennifer in Forrest City.

 He had a big heart and would do anything for anyone. He loved kids and became a softball coach for the Bridgeport Youth Association. Shane enjoyed playing golf and going to the lake to ride jet skis. He was as hard-headed as a billygoat. Shane was loved by many and will never be forgotten.

He is survived by his wife Jennifer Roberts of Bridgeport; daughter Brittany Roberts of Bridgeport; parents BJ Matthews and Roy Roberts and wife Lisa of Forrest City; brother Steven Roberts and wife Carla of Forrest City; sisters DaShaune Hill and husband Duke of Forrest City and Crysta Headley and husband Dusty of Forrest City; grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Earl Burchart of Forrest City and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Shane was preceded in death by his grandparents.
