Graveside services for Mary Lee Guy, 82, of Alvord, Texas, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 13, 2024, at Oaklawn Cemetery in Decatur. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Sunday, May 12, at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Pastor Todd Blair will officiate.
Mary Lee Guy was born December 14, 1941, in Decatur, Texas, to Willie and Jessie (Ashlock) Jones. Her warm and kind spirit touched everyone she met. Mary’s love of watching sunsets, playing dominos, enjoying classic westerns, and simply sitting on the porch will always be remembered by those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Mary will be deeply missed by her family, including her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her memory will be forever treasured by her surviving relatives and friends as they fondly recall the moments shared.
Those left to cherish Mary’s memory are her sons John Clinton Fleece, Donald Ray Fleece, and Willie Gene Fleece; daughters Nina Gayle Meyers, Viola Joyce Triplett, Betty Jo Maggard, and Nora Ann Cagle; eleven grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband Lee Roy Guy; parents Willie D. and Jessie Mae Jones; and brother Billy Gene Jones.
