Mary Beth Brown

A graveside service for Mary Beth Brown, 85, of Decatur will be held Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 11:00 am in Oaklawn Cemetery in Decatur. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 pm at Jones Family Funeral Home. Mary Beth passed away Monday, February 23 at home. Mary Beth was born in Decatur on July 10, 1929 to Albert and Zella Pauline (Lawson) Rhine. She was a graduate of Decatur High School. On April 20, 1946 she and Alf Brown married in Denton. For 20 years, she was a clerk for Olney Savings in Decatur. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Decatur, and affiliated with the Lost Battalion Association. She leaves behind three sons: Richard Brown, Robert Brown, and Jimmy Brown; grandchildren Bratton Ray Williams, Amanda Kai Lasater and husband Chase; and great-grandchildren Dalton Gentry Lasater and Cash Lasater. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
