Marilyn Seymore

Marilyn Seymore, 83, of Bridgeport, Texas and formerly of Concord, Arkansas, passed away on Friday January 19, 2018 in Decatur, Texas

Funeral service will be at 1:00pm Wednesday, January 24 in the Chapel of Jones Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Pastor Dale Webster will be officiating. Burial will be 1:00 pm Friday at the Concord Cemetery in Concord, Arkansas. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm, also at Jones.

Marilyn was born on December 23, 1934 in Almond, Arkansas to Leo and Alpha (Tatum) Kerlin. She married Hermon Seymore on December 31, 1955, they were married for 38 years until his death.  She was a military wife, a school teacher, and business owner. Marilyn enjoyed crossword puzzles, bowling and going north. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Concord.

Survivors include her sons David Seymore, Michael Seymore and wife Debra, Steven Seymore; daughter Danita Noyes and husband Chuck; sister Billie Harmon; grandchildren Brian Loper and wife Misty of Alvord, Texas, Brian Robertson and wife Stephanie of Forney, Texas, Jessie Seymore of Batesville, Arkansas; great-granddaughters Bristol Loper and Olivia Robertson.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Sandy Seymore, sister Betty Blevin, and grandson JJ Robertson

Arrangements are entrusted to Jones Family Funeral Home-Bridgeport.
