Marie Brazier

Graveside Services for Marie Brazier, 98, of Bridgeport, Texas, will be held at 10 am Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Eastside Cemetery in Bridgeport. Marc Moore will be officiating.

Marie was born on July 5, 1925, to Joseph and Josephine (Peco) Barca, in Hammond, Louisiana, and peacefully passed away November 19, 2023, in Bridgeport, Texas. Marie's warm smile and friendly nature made her a beloved member of the community. She dedicated over 30 years of her life working at the Corner Drug Store in Bridgeport, where she served the community with endless kindness and compassion. Marie always went above and beyond to help those in need, making a positive impact on the lives of many.

Marie found joy in various hobbies and interests, including dancing, traveling, cooking, and frequent visits to Winstar World Casino. Her lively energy could light up any room and she cherished every moment spent doing the things she loved.

Perhaps one of the fondest memories her family will hold dear is the aroma that would fill the air during Marie's famous Sunday lunches. Her specialty was serving meatball spaghetti.  Each meal was an opportunity to gather around the table and share laughter and stories. Marie's memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She will be deeply missed by her loved ones and friends.

Those left to cherish Marie’s memory are her sons J.H. Brazier, Jr. and wife Linda of Bridgeport, Bobby Brazier and wife Lisa of Bridgeport; daughter Barbara Munn and husband Ronnie of Bridgeport; sister Christine Crounse of Alvarado; grandchildren Charles Munn, Kevin Munn, Monika Allen, Eric Brazier, Craig Talley, Candice Yates, Leah Brazier, Hannah Moore, and John McKelvain; sixteen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and a host of friends and family.

Marie is preceded in death by her parents; husband J.H. Brazier, Sr.; son Billy Brazier; brother Dominick; and sisters Georgie and Katie.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marie's honor to the Masonic Lodge #587.
