Maria Angelica Benavente

Maria Angeles Benavente, 58, of Bridgeport passed away at her home Saturday, June 3.

Her visitation will be Tuesday, June 6 from 6-8 pm at Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

Maria will lie in state Wednesday, June 7 at Jones from 9 am to 5 pm.

She was born April 12, 1959 in Allende, Coahuila, Mexico to Jesus and Angelica (Palomares) Villarreal. Maria was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church in Bridgeport. Her hobbies included casino gambling, bingo, cooking, and taking care of her grandkids. Her family voted her Best Mom of the Year.

Maria leaves behind her husband of 41 years, Jose Homero Benavente; son Jose Homer Benavente, Jr.; daughters Rosa Linda Lopez and husband Heraclio Rodriquez, and Christina Hernandez and husband Miguel; grandchildren Priscila Lopez, Mikah Benavente, Heraclio Rodriquez, Jr, Lynda Rodriquez, Juliey Maria Hernandez, America Hernandez, and Jose Homero Benavente III; and her tremendous huge, loved family.
