Lori Wellborn

A Celebration of Life for Lori Wellborn, 53, of Paradise, Texas, will be held from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Amy and Greg Fletcher’s (247 CR 3340 Paradise, Texas 76073) in place of a traditional funeral. All who knew and loved Lori are welcome to join in celebrating the vibrant, joyful, and deeply caring woman she was – surrounded, just as she would have wanted, by family and friends.

Lori Ann Wellborn devoted wife, mother, Lolly, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, was born July 10, 1971, to James and Judy (Gilreath) Grisham, in Arlington, Texas, and peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family on July 8, 2025, in Paradise, Texas.

Lori lived a life full of purpose, passion, and heart. A dedicated and compassionate nurse, she was known for her unwavering commitment to caring for others – both in her profession and her daily life. Her warmth, strength, and sense of humor left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Lori loved her family fiercely and showed up in every way that mattered – especially at sporting events, where she was proudly the loudest supporter in the stands. At home, she wore many hats, but none quite as fitting – or fondly teased – as “Ranch Manager.” She found peace and joy outdoors, near any body of water, with the sun on her face – despite her legendary disregard for sunscreen.

Those left to cherish Lori’s memory are her beloved husband, Jim Wellborn; children, Ashley Andrus and husband Zach, Aaron Wellborn, and Abby Holt and husband Jarret; her treasured grandchildren, Jace, Addi, and Jackson Holt, who lovingly called her “Lolly.” She also leaves behind her loving parents, James and Judy Grisham; sisters, Amy Fletcher and husband Greg and Gina Van Wart and husband CJ; in-laws, James and Judy Wellborn; brother-in-law, Jesse Wellborn and wife Kristi; and many other friends and family.

Lori’s impact on her family and community will never be forgotten. Her legacy of love, laughter, and grit lives on in every life she touched.
