Linda Lee Byers

Linda Lee Byers 70, of Chico passed away Friday, January 13, 2017. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday January 17, at Chico Cemetery, with Brother Jeff Baker officiating. Visitation will be at Jones Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport on Monday evening from 6-8 pm. Linda was born on March 4, 1946 in Jacksboro, Texas to Woodroe Maddux and Bertie ‘Stockmun’ Maddux. She married Jurden Wayne Byers on November 20, 1967 in Decatur, Texas. She was a house wife enjoying her family time fishing, reading, and playing dominoes. Linda also loved going to garage sales, and spending time with her grandkids. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years; daughter Ronda Mitchum and husband Lee of Chico; son J.W. Byers and wife Patty of Chico. Brother Glen Maddux and wife Linda of Paradise; eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, a daughter, and a great grandson.
