Lawanna McClure

Lawanna McClure, 86, of Decatur, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018.  Funeral services will be held Monday, April 30, at 2:00 PM at Cornerstone Baptist Church with visitation an hour before the service.  Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.

She was born in Alvord on January 1, 1932 and married Sam McClure on May 15, 1954 in Weatherford.  Lawanna ran a daycare from her home and touched the lives of many families and children. She loved the Lord and her church family at Cornerstone Baptist. She enjoyed antiquing with her husband and friends, traveling with her family, and showing love through her giving spirit.  Lawanna was a radiant, precious soul who will be tremendously missed by her family.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Sam McClure; her daughter, Kathy Campbell; two granddaughters, Alli Campbell-Smith and Avery Campbell; brother, Wade Hancock, and many beloved extended family.

Lawanna was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Hancock and Tilitha Clower; and son Keith McClure. 

Services are entrusted to Jones Family Funeral Home-Decatur.
