Kayla (Morrow) Nichols of Bridgeport, Texas passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016 in Decatur at the age of 45. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Friday, June 3 at Grace Fellowship Church in Paradise, Texas, officiated by Pastor Rocky Johnson. Burial will follow in East Bridgeport Cemetery. Pallbearers are Wendell Wiggins, Bobby Green, Ronnie Pewitt, J.R. Garza, Lynn Long, Tommy Johnson, Toby Nichols, and Chan Horne. Visitation will be Thursday, June 2 at Jones Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport from 6-8 pm.
Kayla was born April 6, 1971 in Bridgeport to Larry and Judy (Groves) Morrow. She was a 1989 graduate of Bridgeport High School. In her younger years, she was very active with her youth group at church, and particularly enjoyed singing.
She loved helping people, and enjoyed the time spent with the Bridgeport ISD, working with special needs children.
Kayla was full of life, and a little mischief, and always had a smile on her face. Her children were the love of her life and she was very involved in their lives. She was greatly loved by many and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by son Toby Wayne Nichols; daughter Tiphanee Michelle Nichols and fiancée Eugene Lackey; parents Larry and Judy Morrow; brother Cody W. Morrow; and grandsons Danny Lackey and Trenton Ellison; uncle Gerald W. Groves; aunts Jean Fox and husband Henley, and Alice Sherrod; her dearest friend Sherry Bisidas-Grantham; and a host of other family and friends.
Kayla was preceded in death by grandparents J.W. and Myrtie Groves, and Grady Morrow and Neoma Collins.
