Karen Funcannon

Karen Kay Funcannon, 65, of Paradise, Texas passed away Thursday, August 11, 2016 at home. No services are planned at this time. Karen was born in Clute, Texas on June 28, 1951 to Craig and Geraldine (Hughes) Jacobsen. She was a registered nurse who worked in cardiac care before becoming a case worker for Aetna Life. She had a green thumb and loved plants. In fact, she had one plant that she’d cared for for 40 years. She was also a music lover and a big fan of the group Queen. Karen is survived by her husband of 37 years, Robert Funcannon of Paradise, brother Daniel Jacobsen of Knoxville, Tennessee, and sister Kathy Vocelka of Houston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the MS (National Multiple Sclerosis) Society.
