Memorial services for Judy Gilbert, 69, of Bridgeport, Texas, will be held at a later date. She passed away on October 7, 2023, in Decatur, Texas. Judy was a cherished member of the community, and her loss will be deeply felt by all who knew her.
Born on April 13, 1954, in Pasadena, California, to Clinton and Mary Ann (Rushing) Mullens, Judy leaves behind a legacy of creativity and a profound love for others. She enjoyed painting and took great pleasure in creating beautiful pieces of art when she was not absorbed in one of her favorite books. Judy’s paintings were treasured by her family and friends who were fortunate enough to receive one as a precious gift. But above all else, family and friends were at the center of Judy's heart. She cherished every moment spent with them.
Beyond Judy’s personal interests, she found comfort in her faith as a member of Grace Fellowship in Paradise. It brought her great comfort and support as she navigated life's challenges.
Those left to cherish Judy’s memory are her sister Barbie Keller of Bridgeport; nieces Mindy Keller of Alvord, Summer York of Bowie, and Ashley Redding of Decatur; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents; brother Ronald Mullens of Springtown; and nephew Jeremy Richard Keller of Bridgeport.
