Graveside services for Judy Chandler, 67, of Newark, Texas, will be held at 12 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 13, 2026, at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport, TX.
Judy Mae Chandler passed away on April 9, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 28, 1958, in Fort Worth, Texas. Judy dedicated her life to her family, pouring love, loyalty & dedication into everything she did. She retired just last year after an impressive 31-year career in quality assurance at Dannon Yogurt, where her hard work and keen attention to detail were evident to all who knew her.
Judy was a woman of strength and resilience, throughout her life. She worked tirelessly to ensure her family was provided for, while also being there in whatever way she was needed for her family. She was a Christian, and while her relationship with faith was private and personal, it showed in the ways she selflessly took care of the ones she loved and worried more about them than herself no matter what she was going through herself. She had a huge heart for animals and took care of many different animals throughout her life, bonding deeply with them and insuring the ones she knew, whether her own or her families strays, were taken care of and never went hungry.
In her younger days, Judy was an outstanding bowler, making her mark as the only female member on various leagues—an embodiment of her competitive spirit and determination. She had a reputation for being brutally honest, a quality that often led to heartfelt conversations; you could always count on her to be genuine.
She is preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Ray Doyle; her parents, W.R. Jones, and Alice Jones; and sister, Sherry Buggar.
Judy is survived by her daughter, Kristi Butler and her husband, Kenny, of Newark, Texas; her brother, Ray Jones and his wife, Felicia, also of Newark; her grandchildren, Dylan Butler and his wife, Chloe; Katlyn Butler and her boyfriend, Damon Miller; Brandon Butler and his girlfriend, Elizabeth Carpenter; and her great-grandchildren, Zoey Butler and Waylon Miller.
As we come together to celebrate Judy’s life, let’s hold onto the love and laughter she shared with us, and let’s try to honor her with the same strength and resilience and loyalty she showed us throughout her life. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and everyone fortunate enough to know her. She will be dearly missed.
