Memorial Services for Joyce L. Taylor, 61, of Bridgeport, Texas, will be held at 1:30 pm Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Pastor David Pugh will be officiating.

Joyce L. Taylor, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and gams passed away on September 4, 2023. She was born on June 9, 1962, to Sally (Kershaw) Mathews in Bristol, Pennsylvania, and was a remarkable individual who made a lasting impact on her family and friends. Joyce had an unwavering devotion to her family, cherishing every moment spent together. She had a special talent for making each gathering memorable.

Whether it was reading stories, crocheting masterpieces, or solving puzzles, Joyce immersed herself in every activity with dedication. Sports also held a special place in Joyce's heart. A fan of football and astro baseball, she would light up the room with her contagious energy whenever a game was on. Her passionate cheers and unwavering support for her favorite teams were truly infectious. Joyce’s warm smile and gentle heart will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to have known her.

Those left to cherish Joyce’s memory are her mother Sally Mathews; son Johnathon Taylor; daughter Shannon Taylor; brother David Matthews; sister Trisha Matthews; and grandchildren Ethan, Aden, Oliver, and Aron Taylor, and Dimitri and Eva Bailey.

Joyce is preceded in death by her brother Elwood Matthews.
