A visitation for Jose Maria De Luna, 76, of Bridgeport, Texas, will be held from 6-8 pm Thursday July 20, 2023, at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
Jose Maria De Luna was born July 24, 1946, to Nicholas and Maria Luiza (Aguilar) De Luna, in Las Bancas, Villa Union Coahuila Mexico. He married Guadalupe Zuniga in August of 1968, and was happily married until her passing.
Jose, lovingly known as a jokester, brought laughter and joy to those around him. He had a special fondness for his sheep and goats, spending most of his time taking care of them on his farm. His passion for these animals was evident in the way he cared for them, ensuring they were always well cared for.
Jose's presence will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He leaves behind cherished memories that will forever be treasured. In his fun-loving nature and love for animals, he taught us all the importance of finding joy in life's simplest pleasures.
Jose is survived by his children Jaime De Luna of Bridgeport, Raymond De Luna of Wichita Falls, Cristina Vargas, and husband Sesar from Decatur; grandchildren Marcos and Trystnn De Luna, Adrian, Cristian, and Jocelyn Vargas; brothers Ramon and Nicholas De Luna of Mexico; and sister Lucilla Ortiz of Chicago, Illinois.
Jose is preceded in death by his wife Guadalupe De Luna; son Alberto De Luna; brother Jesus De Luna, and sister Estella Garza.
