Jolene Taylor

Jolene Taylor, 61, of Alvord, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2014 in Decatur. Services will be held Saturday, February 8 at 1:00 pm at Jones Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport, officiated by Doug Moreland and Don Singleton. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery #1 in Decatur. Visitation will be Saturday from 11-12 prior to the funeral, also at Jones. Pallbearers are Steve Cunningham, Dewayne Taylor, Terry Seville, Aaron Choate, Brad Largent, Casey Kirkland, Ronnie Taylor, and Chris Harris. Jolene was born December 17, 1952 in Muleshoe, Texas to Walter and Maggie (Palmer) Taylor. She was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting, reading, sewing, and gardening. She also loved her two Doxies. Jolene was a member of the Wise County Cowboy Church. She leaves behind her husband of 44 years, Jerry Taylor; sons Scotty Taylor and wife Tonya, and Mike Taylor; daughter Michelle Thomas and husband Kenny; brothers James Taylor and wife JoAnn, and Robert Taylor; sister Janie Cunningham; and grandchildren Dusty and Daylie Taylor, Samantha and Haylea McDaniel, Joshua Thomas, and Kelsey and McKinley Taylor. She was preceded in death by her parents.
