Johnny Lee Brown, 58, of Bridgeport, TX, was born on June 25, 1964, in Abilene, Texas, to Marshall Brown and Betty Breeding Brown. Johnny was called home to the Lord on November 17, 2022, in Decatur, Texas.

Johnny began working in the oilfield industry at a very young age, living most of his life within the oilfield industry. He loved to fish, karaoke, and go to the casino in his spare time, and you could always count on him cheering for the Dallas Cowboys no matter how “The Boys” season looked. He loved to talk politics and had a great sense of humor. You could always count on Johnny telling a joke or trying to get someone to smile. Johnny loved his kids, grandkids, family, and friends. To the very end, his character was that of the old saying, “He’d give the shirt off his back.” He opened his heart and home to anyone in need throughout his life. He will be greatly missed by everyone that knew and loved him.

Johnny is preceded in death by his mother and father.

He is survived by his son Justin Lee Brown; daughters Krystal Smith and husband, Erik, Ashley Plumlee and husband, Jeff; and Amber Campbell; brother Marshall Allen Brown and wife, Katie of San Angelo, TX; sisters Patricia Ann Brown and husband, Craig Green of Big Lake, TX, Rhonda Iholts and husband, Keith of Rio Rancho, NM, Kelly Kenney and husband, Gary Lee of Tow, TX, Toni Kay Parmer of Wichita Falls, TX, Paula Kay Mcneme of Kingsland, TX; grandchildren Kaiden Troy Brown, Serenity Renee Brown, Brandon McDowell, Hope Taylor, Owen Taylor, Tyler Carter, Hailey Carter, Jordan Carter, Rilea Campbell and Lyric Campbell, several nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.
