John Monroe

John Jerry "Dobber" Monroe, Jr., 52, of Chico, Texas, passed away Sunday, August 26, 2012, in Bridgeport, Texas. Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, August 30, 2012, in Chico Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at Jones Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Dobber was born August 10, 1960, in Bridgeport to Nettie Fayrene (Davidson) and John Jerry Monroe. He loved to fish and to drive the backroads in Texas. He loved spending time with his grandchild. Dobber is survived by his sons John Monroe III of Jacksboro, Texas and Donnie Monroe of Fort Worth, Texas; sisters Debra Brazier of Bridgeport, Texas; Betty Monroe of Chico and Faye Cook of Watauga, Texas; brothers B. J. Fitzgerald of Gibtown, Texas and Jerry Fitzgerald of Boyd, Texas; daughter-in-law Whitney Shelby; grandchild Hayden; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.
