Joe Franks

Joe Dean Franks, 57, of Bridgeport, Texas died Sunday, June 15, 2014 at home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Thomas Cemetery in Bridgeport. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Jones Family Funeral Home. Joe was born December 11, 1956 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Martha Raye (Beauchamp) and Aubrey Dean Franks. He loved to bass fish and fish in bass tournaments. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bridgeport. Joe is survived by two sons, Michael and Jason Franks, both of Bridgeport; father A. D. Franks of Bridgeport; sisters Lynn Franks Fair and Amy Franks Miller, both of Denton, Texas; brother Ray Franks of Bridgeport; granddaughter Edyee Franks; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He is preceded in death by his mother and his grandparents Lucille and Daniel Beauchamp. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
