James Junior McCarmack was born on May 28, 1945, in Decatur, Texas, to James Thomas and Enola Mae (Fennell) McCarmack. He passed away on June 6, 2026, in Decatur.

James married Pansey (Foster) McCarmack on February 11, 1972, in Denton, Texas, and they shared more than 54 years together.

Before retiring, he worked for many years as a truck driver. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening.

James will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Thomas and Enola Mae McCarmack; his brother, Tommy Lee McCarmack; and his sisters, Joyce Norris and Linda Danilles.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Pansey McCarmack; his son, Sonny James McCarmack; his daughter, Enola Mae Wright; his sister, Bertha Taylor; his grandchildren, Alexander Weigart, Andrew Weigart, Elisha Michelle Junkert, Sonny McCarmack Jr., Justin McCarmack, and Michael McCarmack; and seven great-grandchildren.
