James Clarke

A graveside service will be held at a later date for James Roydan Clarke, 72, of Bridgeport. James passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at home. He was born in Sewickley, Pennsylvania on April 13, 1944 to James R. and Avis (Downs) Clarke. He served in the US Army from 1961-1968 during the Vietnam War, where he was a member of the First Squadron, Fourth Cavalry, and was awarded a Purple Heart. He was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church in Bridgeport, and enjoyed fishing and target shooting. He is survived by a host of friends. James was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Loretta Clarke.
