Memorial services for James “Jimmy” Carter, 67, will be Saturday, July 2, 2022 at 10:00 am at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport, officiated by Brother Louis Horton. Jimmy went to be with our Lord on Saturday, June 18, in Decatur, Texas.
Jimmy, a retired truck driver, was born August 23, 1954, in Decatur, Texas, to Donald B. Carter and Betty Jean (Hudson) Hogue.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his brother Jacky Ray Carter of Alvord; sister Donna Jean Lawson of Decatur; sons Jason Carter and husband Martin, of Tyler, James Benjamin Carter of El Paso, David Carter and wife Amie of Decatur, Joshua Carter and wife Alexa of Paradise; daughters Alisha Carter Bertron and fiancé John Gibbon of Decatur, Jaymee Carter–Deckard and husband Troy Deckard of Sanger; and grandchildren LaShay Benevides, Ethan Redman, Averee Bertron and Oliver Deckard.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
