Aaron Green, 48, of Bridgeport, Texas, passed away on September 13, 2026.
Aaron was born on June 21, 1978, and graduated from Bridgeport High School in 1998. Following high school, he was a staffer at the youth camp, Camp Compass in Denton. He later spent 15 years as a door greeter at Walmart in Decatur, where his friendly presence became familiar to many in Wise County.
Aaron was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. He had a genuine love for his family, and his favorite title was undoubtedly “Uncle.” He loved following his niece, Anna, and nephew, Aiden, in everything they did—whether they were on the court, the track, or the golf course. He was their biggest fan and took great joy in cheering them on.
Aaron was also a passionate Texas Rangers fan and rarely missed a game on television. His family and friends will remember him for the simple things that brought him joy, his loyalty to the people and things he loved, and the special place he held in the hearts of those who knew him.
Aaron was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jeat and Josephine Green and V.L. and Lois Morrow.
He leaves behind his devoted parents, Gary and Linda Green of Bridgeport; his brother, Alan Green and his wife, Kristy, of Bridgeport; his beloved niece, Anna, and nephew, Aiden; and his cherished cat, Dusty Bottoms - who was named after one of the infamous amigos from the movie The Three Amigos, who helped save the town of Santa Poco from the mean leader, El Guapo.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a monetary donation made to Camp Copass in Aaron’s honor at: https://campcopass.com/donate/
