Iva Jean Powell

Iva Jean Powell, 88, passed away December 20, 2018 in Decatur. No services are planned at this time.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Family Funeral Home-Decatur.

Jean was born April 27, 1930 in Decatur to Verl and Morine Phillips. She worked in the oil field industry where she evaluated well capacity production and managed oil leases. Jean will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle H. Powell; sisters, Billie Brown, Glenda Maxfield; and brother, Clinton Phillips.

Jean is survived by her sisters, Pam Stanfield and husband Jerry of Chico; Kay Ethridge of Munford, TN; and brother, Larry Phillips of Henrietta.
