Grant Timberman

Memorial services for Grant Timberman, 83, of Runaway Bay, Texas, will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at Pleasant View Baptist Church, officiated by Brother Gary Demmitt. Grant passed away August 27, 2023, in Decatur, Texas.

Grant was born October 18, 1939, to Floyd and Faye (Taylor) Timberman in Deerfield, Ohio. He met his wife, Mary (Lynel) Timberman, while working construction in Memphis, Tennessee. The couple married June 1, 1965, and was happily married for 54 years. In addition, Grant proudly worked as a lineman overseeing the construction of power lines across the nation for 54 years before his retirement in 2012.

Grant is survived by his daughter Ellen Taylor, sons Lewis Timberman and Roy Timberman, sister Sharon Stewart, granddaughter Alicia Smith, great-grandchildren Nathan Ramos, Jacob Ramos, and Halie Contreras, and great-great-grandchildren Magnolia and Rosalyn Contreras.

He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Timberman, daughter Mary Ann Moore, and brother Durwood Timberman.
