Galen Harvick

Memorial Services for Galen Harvick, 75, of Paradise, Texas, will be held at 2 p.m. on October 2, 2026, at Sycamore Baptist Church in Decatur.

Galen Thomas Harvick entered this world on October 31, 1950, in Decatur, Texas, the beloved son of Oran and Mary Ruby (Davis) Harvick. After a lifetime that touched those who knew and loved him, he passed away peacefully at his home in Paradise, Texas, on August 7, 2026.

A proud member of the Decatur High School Class of 1969, Galen carried a lifelong connection to the community that helped shape his early years.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Oran and Mary Ruby Harvick, whose memory remained an enduring part of his life.

Galen leaves behind his daughter, Amanda Huerta, and her husband, Miguel, along with his granddaughter, Vivian Huerta. They will carry his memory in their hearts and treasure the lasting imprint he made on their lives.
